The Interventional Radiology Sherpa Patient Care Consultant plays a meaningful role in helping patients navigate important healthcare decisions. As the first point of contact for prospective patients, you create a welcoming experience that helps individuals feel informed, supported, and confident as they explore their care options.
The Sherpa is responsible to manage inbound calls, chats, SMS texts, emails and web inquiries from interested patients generated through marketing campaigns. Using Care Sherpa’s proprietary training, tools and technology, the Sherpa’s primary goal is to educate, support and efficiently follow-up with patients on their care journey and ensure an exceptional experience.

JOB PURPOSE:
The Patient Care Consultant supports the growth of our clients’ patient pipeline by serving as a knowledgeable and empathetic guide from the moment patients reach out. Part patient concierge and part provider advocate, you will offer education, answer questions, and help patients determine whether a procedure or provider is right for them.
You will manage inbound calls, chats, SMS texts, emails, and web inquiries from marketing campaigns. With Care Sherpa’s training, tools, and technology, you will help prospective patients take confident next steps and ensure they receive an exceptional, high-quality experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A genuine passion for helping people and building meaningful relationships with people from all walks of life.
Personal experience as a patient or caregiver with elective or interventional medical procedures (preferred).
Experience in customer service, hospitality, healthcare patient support, counseling, or social work (preferred).
Strong critical thinking and conversational skills that create trust and comfort.
Ability to build rapport quickly with patients and provider teams over multiple communication channels.
Excellent communication skills: clear articulation, active listening, and comfort engaging with a wide variety of socioeconomic and educational backgrounds.
Strong computer skills including typing, multitasking, such as talking and typing simultaneously.
CRM experience or other database data entry experience preferred.

Uninterrupted high-speed internet with consistent connection.
ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
100% work from home remote position.
Private, secure, closed door, quiet and distraction-free environment to take and make patient phone calls.
SCHEDULE & HOURS:
Full-Time position - 32-40 hours per week
Primarily Monday through Friday during client’s business day, the schedule can be somewhat flexible to allow each Sherpa to meet the needs of their client and their patients.
