Gratitude is Our Attitude

At Care Sherpa, we believe in the transformative power of gratitude. That's why we make it a priority to incorporate gratitude reflection into our weekly all-team meetings. Here's why:

  1. Fostering a Positive Culture: Gratitude is contagious. By regularly reflecting on what we're grateful for, we cultivate a positive and uplifting atmosphere within our team. This positivity extends beyond our meetings and influences our day-to-day interactions.

  2. Building Resilience: Practicing gratitude helps us build resilience in the face of challenges. When we focus on what's going well, we are better equipped to handle setbacks and bounce back from adversity.

  3. Enhancing Team Bonding: Gratitude reflection fosters a sense of camaraderie among team members. It encourages us to appreciate each other's contributions and strengthens our connections, leading to a more cohesive and supportive team.

  4. Improving Mental Health: Research shows that gratitude can improve mental health by reducing stress and increasing feelings of happiness and contentment. By incorporating gratitude into our meetings, we support the well-being of our team members.

  5. Increasing Motivation and Engagement: Recognizing and expressing gratitude for our accomplishments and the efforts of our team members boosts motivation and engagement. It reminds us of the impact of our work and inspires us to continue striving for excellence.

  6. Promoting a Growth Mindset: Gratitude reflection aligns with our commitment to continuous improvement and learning. It encourages us to focus on progress and celebrate achievements, fostering a growth mindset across our team.

Incorporating gratitude reflection into our weekly all-team meetings is just one of the ways we nurture a positive and supportive environment at Care Sherpa. We believe that by practicing gratitude, we can create a more fulfilling and rewarding experience for our team members, ultimately leading to better outcomes for those we serve.

Inclusion and Diversity Start Here

At Care Sherpa, what unites us is our passion for serving: our patients, communities, and each other – we call this our Service Heart. With the power of our whole team behind it, this trait can move mountains. In addition, a diversity of voices and opinions strengthens our Service Heart and helps us connect even more patients to the healthcare they need.

We have a responsibility as a company that serves diverse communities to be representative of those communities.

Volunteering in the Community

Care Sherpa in the Community

Shardé, a recruiting consultant at Care Sherpa, volunteers time & clothing to Safe Haven Family Shelter in Nashville, TN.

Being able to give back to the communities that shape us isn’t just a nice idea; at Care Sherpa, we’re making it a priority. To accomplish this, Care Sherpa offers paid time off for employees who want to volunteer in their communities. We call it VTO (volunteer-time-off). It’s one of the ways we’re working to give everyone the opportunity to make a difference in a way that matters to them.

Giving back is our mission

Abby and Erin are working as volunteers in the pilot program through the Victim and Witness Unit of the Washington County State’s Attorney’s Office

We are currently expanding our hiring process into even more markets. Part of our drive is to hire in the communities where our clients are based. This way, our patients get to benefit from working with someone who knows the area, and we are able to create jobs in the communities where we work.

Leveling Up: Our Commitment to DEI

Diversity is about sharing our unique perspectives, talents, and experiences to mutually benefit the teams we are in. Modern companies agree that diverse teams produce better outcomes. Care Sherpa is committed to making true diversity – of race, gender, sexuality, neurodiversity, and any other protected class – our daily reality.

We know that we still have plenty of work to do to reach that reality, but by making this commitment now we hope to shine a light on areas that need improvement. We look forward to sharing our initiatives to support this mission in the near future.

At Care Sherpa, we are committed to bringing our service-oriented heart to all people. We think that creating a culture of mutual respect, inclusion, and opportunity is just the beginning.

By actively celebrating our differences as a team we find new ways to celebrate the things that unite us. We are parents, students, industry veterans, and patients just like you. Cultivating a true diversity of lived experiences and perspectives helps us better relate to our clients and to their patients.

Diversity is not some far-off concept– it is something tangible that starts here and now. Care Sherpa is taking action by seeking to build a team as diverse as the populations that we serve.
